Publications

There is a growing range of publications on many aspects of spawning aggregations, from biology of aggregating species, to management and study techniques. Particularly in the late 1990s and 2000s, many workers have learned about aggregations and there has been a surge in interest to study them.

The publications list we assembled includes papers organized into different sections. There are around 400 records ranging from peer-reviewed publications to reports and thesis: General references, theoretical studies, studies by species or family (serranids, lutjanids, labrids, scarids, acanthurids, others), site-specific studies, connectivity and spawning aggregations, monitoring, management and conservation, traditional knowledge, live reef fish trade issues, economic analyses and spawning aggregations, reports, books, newsletters and theses.
