The SCRFA database will be continually updated as new information becomes available. Any new data or modifications to existing records submitted on-line to SCRFA are considered unverified until the database administrator has checked the submission for accuracy and compatibility with the existing format. Information that fulfills those criteria are then verified and incorporated into the global database where they can be accessed on-line using the Search Database function. NOTE that 'verified' only referes to a data-checking process. It does NOT mean that a reported site has necessarily been 'validated' i.e. that field work has confirmed the spawning site/time of spawning for the reported species. Caution, therefore, must be exercised in using data in the database.
